Mini Dental Implants

The mini dental implants endosseous implants are made of titanium grade 5 (titanium hardness is measured in degrees) of less than 3 mm in diameter.

The current literature does not consider the osseointegrated implants (see the discussion on the side of ostointegrazione “all about dental implants”) due to their small size in diameter, although they can be very long (18mm and above) and may have a surface treated to provide the fullest possible integration.

They are sold with the retentive cap – for the attachment of a removable prosthesis – already present in ‘facility.

Often, over it, can be fixed to the capsules that mimic a stump on which to support a crown restoration.

SURELY can not in any way be used to support a bridge of any length, shape or size.

Where ‘s jawbone present a minimum thickness and can not accommodate osseointegrated dental implants, mini implants 4 -6, placed in a balanced manner and at a cost far below that of a classical structure, are perfectly able to hold a removable prosthesis to avoid being subjected to movements of the tongue, lips and quance.

Their entry requires a minimally invasive surgery and are particularly indicated in elderly people that would support an intervention with greater difficulty with the traditional systems.

Please NOTE that ONLY are indicated for the mandible and maxilla for the MAI due to less compact and the fact that it is not integrated with the bone, or at least they are already insufficient.
